Lee's Summit is one of Missouri's most distinctive and desirable communities — a city of more than 100,000 residents southeast of Kansas City, known for its excellent schools, the Lakewood community, Longview Lake, a thriving historic downtown, and a reputation as one of the best places to live in Missouri. LeesSummitMarijuana.clinic is an online directory and telehealth scheduling platform connecting Lee's Summit residents with Missouri-licensed providers for medical marijuana certifications under Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution.
We are not a medical practice, dispensary, or pharmacy. We connect patients with qualified providers and guide them through Missouri's certification and Complia registration process — from Downtown Lee's Summit and Lakewood to Longview Lake, the Summit Fair area, and every Lee's Summit neighborhood.
Every provider on our platform holds an active Missouri medical license (MD, DO, or NP) and is registered with DHSS to certify patients — the credentials required under Missouri law to submit Electronic Physician Certification Forms through DHSS's registry portal.
All telehealth appointments are conducted on HIPAA-compliant platforms. Lee's Summit patients' health information is handled with complete confidentiality throughout the process.
Every certification follows DHSS Article XIV requirements. The provider submits the Electronic Certification directly to DHSS. Patients complete the application and pay the $28.14 fee directly at Complia.
Missouri's medical marijuana program, rooted in Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution (Amendment 2, November 2018) and administered by DHSS's Division of Cannabis Regulation, works as follows: a Lee's Summit patient books a real-time video visit with a Missouri-licensed MD, DO, or NP registered with DHSS. The provider evaluates the patient's history against Article XIV's qualifying conditions and, if appropriate, submits an Electronic Physician Certification Form directly to DHSS. The patient then registers at the Complia patient portal within 30 days, uploads a Missouri photo ID and digital photo, and pays the $28.14 state fee. DHSS reviews within 30 days. The 3-year digital Patient ID card downloads from the Complia License Dashboard upon approval.
Since December 8, 2022, Nurse Practitioners have been eligible to certify Missouri medical marijuana patients alongside MDs and DOs. This is a meaningful difference from states like Pennsylvania, which restrict certification to physicians only. In Lee's Summit and across the Kansas City metro, NPs are embedded throughout primary care, urgent care, and specialty practices — Missouri's expanded eligibility significantly increases the pool of available certifying providers and makes scheduling faster and more accessible.
